Flight Lieutenant Desmond Frederick William Hinton DFC  August 13th 1922-January 2nd 1952

My tribute to my uncle Des who flew F86 Sabres during the Korean war & died in combat on the 2nd of January 1952 the aircraft shown in the photo is of the type he flew, but not the colour scheme which was the 4th or 51st Fighter Interceptor Wing.

If Des was in the 51st Fighter Interceptor Wing, his aircraft may have looked like this (thanks to Wikipedia for the use of the photo)
